Tips to Boost Your Brain
One of our greatest assets is our brain power, and of course as we age our brain function can decrease.
One of my favorite sayings is, “If you don’t use your “tools”, they get rusty”.
It’s the same with our brains, if we don’t use it we lose it.
I just read a recent post from Manifestation Miracle on Facebook about Ways To Boost Your Brain Power Right Now which included the simple tip,
1. Switch it up! Break Up Your Routine.
Try taking a different route to work, eating lunch in a different spot, or reading a book as opposed to watching TV. Anything that interrupts your habits asks your brain to make new and different connections and associations can help stimulate the production of neurotrophins, an important protein responsible for superior brain health.

Simple, right? Simple enough it got me to wondering what else I could do to help my brain keep functioning at top condition… and in addition to eating healthy, exercising, and sleeping well, here’s a few more simple things you can do to stay in top shape mentally from LifeHack.com:

Think positive
The research and studies on THIS one subject, overwhelming show that if you can do ONE thing, this is IT! Gratitude/positivity can change your life!
Read a book
Reading is a form of escapism, plus using your imagination can train your brain at the same time!
Ditch the GPS
Use old school maps to navigate every once in awhile, because it activates spatial relationships.
Ban the calculator
No explanation needed. It’s a great way to get to sleep too! On nights my brain is churning a mile a minute I do equations in my head and in a few minutes my mind is distracted enough to doze off peacefully.
